those more familiar with NYC animal protection enforcement:

many street vendors on canal street in NYC sell, alongside fake rolexes
and louis vuitton, baby turtles in little plastic aquariums. sometimes
several piled on top of eachother in the direct sunlight with little or
no water. is there any point in trying to get this operation shut down?
it seems like a miserable way to treat the turtles.

CHINATOWNS the world over are pretty much the same.
Can there be any doubt abut which Ethnic group has the cruelest genes?

What can you do: ask PETA to help?

Maybe PETA can steer you to a NYC AR group willing to protest.

There is no limit to the new (and old) atrocities.

Plenty of doubt. In order to prove your theory you would need to
isolate
out all the factors to do with culture, social-conditioning, lifestyle
factors, etc.
I am guessing that you, Rick and Leif are all White, American but
your attitudes towards animals and probably several other things are
very different. Why assume that the Chinese are any less diverse in
personality terms? You should give up trying to piegon hole people
along racial lines and instead learn to take them as you find them.

per Dave

Dave, of course, not every single Chinese
is a monster but the overwhelming majority of Chinese people
either behave barbarically toward animals or endorse such activity.

That is simply the way things are; no one is saying Whites are much
better
because they are not. Rick is a bad guy, Leif is almost as bad.

The Chinese are just a little worse, in general.
