It should read:
c.. The types of dogs most often involved in fatal attacks are considered
as being pit bulls,
> Rottweilers, and German Shepherds.
Reason: Most no-minds have no idea of what these breeds look like other than
the 'general appearance rumour' that is constantly referred to.
If a short-coated dog with a blocky head and square-ish muzzle is involved
then it MUST be a Pit Bull - right??

I also have 2 other sources of so-called 'statistics' from reputable sources
at that, that state different breeds at the top of their lists... who takes
these statistics???

Out of those "a.. 4.5 million dog bites every year" - how many of those were
actually American Pit Bull Terriers???? Dig a little deeper and you'll find
that Cocker Spaniels are most noted for 'biting' as are Chihuahuas and a
dozen other breeds not even related to the 'Bull' family.

No, just you, we want you put down.
YOu and other dumbass Pitbull owners. It seem the breed does attract
some strange ones. That's just one reason I'd never have one. Imagine
being in the same category as you!

How many of those are actual bites, or what percent are playful puppy
nips?

Although many dogs would never bite a human, they sure can be nippy
when young. Therefore your statistics are seriously misleading. Just
like most statistics.

4.5 million? Is that all?

Dogs are sexualist then? The bastards!!! Interesting to find out if they
be racialist too.

Shhh...they'll all want a go if they find out.

Good. Servers the dog annoying little bastards right. I would imagine that
99% of those kids would have been shitty little smackhead car thieves
anyways...keep up the good work dogs...keeping the street clean (well, in
one way).

True that 4.5 million dog bites are reported. I read the same report.
these are all Bites that were reported to a medical facility of any kind in
2000.

The Stat I would love to know it how many of these dogs who bit fell into
any of the following categories, or have answers to some of the questions.

1. were they restrained at the time?
2. How old were the dogs?
3. What formal Education (and socialization) did the Dogs receive?
4. Where were the owners at the time of the Bite?
5. What were the Children (those under 10) doing at the time of the bite?

in 2001 over 80% of all Fatalities involving Rotts, Chows, Shepherds, and
Pits, the following was true
1. The owner was a single white male ages 18-30
2. The Dogs were not restrained in any way (may have escaped the backyard
or just allowed to run free)
3. There was more than 1 dog involved in the attack (Dogs feed off each
others excitement)
4. And in over 95% of the Fatalities the owner had not enrolled the dog in
any type of obedience or socialising classes)

All the above FACTS are owner responsibilities.

Keep in mind people that just 300 years ago the ancestors of these breeds
had to kill daily for food. It's in EVERY dogs instinct to be vicious.
It's how we train them that makes or breaks a dog. Do we ban them? hell
no. Take responsibility for your Dog.

in 6 weeks I'm getting my new Rottwiler Puppy. It will be trained to be
polite, friendly, and courteous. If it shows any unprovoked aggression to
anyone I will destroy it and blame myself for failing the dog. The dog will
not fail me.

Now quite swearing at each other and have an adult conversation.

it is not necessary to destroy a dog because it shows unprovoked aggression
towards people. I have a dog that will basically bite anyone who comes too
close to him, except for a handful of persons he knows and trusts. He is the
best dog I have ever had, and I always had Golden retrievers who would never
bite anyone. This dog is so loyal and devoted to me I can hardly believe it,
and all I do is feed him and be his friend. No, I would not destroy him no
matter who got bit. By the way, this dog has no aggression towards other
dogs or small children. Seems to me he is just using his head and playing
the odds, and the odds are, from his point of view, most adult male humans
are most definitely NOT his friend and he is better off not getting to
know them. I can't blame him, knowing what I know about people. Mike.
